HERZ-armaturen today

At present, with a staff or approx. 500 on its payroll in Austria and abroad, HERZ-Armaturen Ges.m.b.H. is the only Austrian manufacturer of valves for heating systems and pipe fittings, and one of the most important manufacturers of this type of products in Europe.

Valves and fittings by HERZ are distributed throughout Europe by our own subsidiaries in the UK, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, and in the Baltic countries, and by independent distributors and representatives with who we have been working for many years. In total, HERZ operates in more than 50 countries, in Europe and far beyond, including the Middle East, North and South America, Japan, and New Zealand.

Approximately 60 % of our total production is exported, and this percentage is still rising. A variety of engineering requirements on heating fittings in a variety of countries are taken into account in the research and development activities of HERZ, as well as the ever increasing demands in terms of aesthetics and industrial design. The continuous success of HERZ Armaturen is based on our philosophy of launching on the market only fully developed high-quality products. Decades of experience as well as specialising in the fields of heating and control engineering form the basis of innovation and attractive design of our products.

In addition, in co-operation with renowned European system suppliers, HERZ Armaturen is developing custom-tailored strategies for using control fittings in such a way that energy and heating costs are saved.

HERZ-Armaturen has an advanced quality management system which has been certified according to ISO 9001. In addition, several national certificates have been obtained for the entire product range. Thermostatic valves by HERZ are in accordance with European standard EN 215. The quality proven by numerous national and international certificates is additionally enhanced by the 5-year warranty of HERZ applicable to all products specified in the HERZ Certificate of Guarantee. The products launched on the market by HERZ are not only fully developed from the engineering viewpoint but match present-day taste in shape and design. This new trend in the heating business has found its expression in the HERZ thermostatic head Design developed in co-operation with Porsche Design GmbH of Zell am See, and in the consistent pursuit of this design in the thermostat series De Luxe which meets the demands of present-day customers not only by its shape, but leaves nothing to be desired in the choice of colours.

The current R&D philosophy of HERZ-Armaturen is to create a perfect symbiosis of top of the range engineering whilst matching present-day taste with respect to shape and design.
